Old school Birthday fun!

My Dad's 50th birthday happened to be right in the midst of wedding preps. Since we were all so busy,   he decided on a low key family supper. My sister Nabeela and I decided on an old school, fun birthday theme to dress the table. The perfect fun theme for our jolly Daddy!

We used party hats as the centrepieces to create a really fun tablescape.

Party poppers, streamers, those blowy things (LOL) and balloon confetti.

Balloon buntings!

We used fun birthday themed ribbon as napkin rings.

Bridal Shower at the Lake

We were approached by a sweet client Leila, to organise a pretty pastel Bridal Shower for her sister Sumaiya.
The shower was held at her aunt's home on the Mt Edgecombe Golf Estate. We set up on their back patio which overlooks a lake.
Soo beauts!

The gift boxes filled with yummy nougat all wrapped up in a bow.
We added touches of gold to the pastel decor to give it a grown up feel.

Hydrangeas are our fav flower right now!
My earliest memory of them is from Mary Poppins where they turn into butterflies, and they are still as whimsical to me today.
Loooves!

Gorgeous yummies! Nabeela's Bakeshop of course.

These sweet mallow pops by NB too!

Leila told us we had to have these as her sister loves the cocktail drink bottle idea. We custom made the drink bottle labels and added hints of gold to the barber striped straws.

What's a dessert buffet without some sweeties?

We used this oh-so-sweet ruffle cake by Nabeela's Bakeshop as the central feature on our dessert buffet.  Pastel pink on the outside and pink ombre layers inside.

Fluffy white tissue paper pom poms.

We dressed the table in a pink tulle table skirt and used a rich gold table cloth.

More hydrangeas for the centrepiece. We propped them in a birdcage and added two white birdies.

The amazing view from the patio.

The beautiful bride to be!

Engagement in a Box

Here are pics from the Engagement in a Box we sent to an out of town client. Her engagement was held at a restaurant so she wanted to pretty the place up with some help from us.
We supplied her with damask table runners, serviettes with little pink roses, floral centrepieces, some decorative pearls and a personalised frame too.
Take a look...

Rusty gold serviettes with dusty pink little roses, all tied together with cream satin ribbon.

The damask runner and decorative pearls.

We set the 'We're Engaged' sign in an antique looking wooden frame and added three dusty pink roses.

Pink feathers were added to the 7 floral centrepieces for a soft romantic touch.

Congrats Muhammad & Tasmiya!

Date Palms and Desert Sands

We created these little boxes for my friend Fathima and her husband Suleman. They requested boxes which they would fill with dates to give to family and friends on their return from Hajj. We used a soft cream satin band inspired by desert sands and a shimmery deep green ribbon inspired by date palms. The font on the tags were a rich brown colour like the sweet dates that would fill the boxes...

More pics from Nuha's Baby Viewing

I've been meaning to post these pics from Nuha's Baby Viewing  for ages now. This TCP on the B event was from back in July this year.  These pics are by the talented Chantel Andrews of Vita Bella Photography.
