Tropical Lunch

These are the pics from the Tropical Lunch I hosted for my group of friends last Sunday. To see invite pics and the full story on the event go here

Earthy hessian and glittery golds- The perfect mix to create an afternoon of tropical glamour!
A bright pink flamingo was the star of the show. We used the flamingo clipart on all the artwork for this event.

We had a great afternoon catching up and munching on good food.

We made these place cards with the help of some bright yellow lemons.

 The tropical florals

Hessian was used over the shimmery gold runner

 The Menu:

Papaya & cranberry salad with a chilli soya sauce dressing
Tempura Prawns served with tartar sauce
Chicken skewers with pineapple and peppers
Savoury pasta rice
Roast lamb slices on a bed of rocket, topped with beetroot and crème fraiche
Herbed baby potatoes
Baked fish with tomato chutney
Garlic bread
Vanilla Pecan ice cream topped with mascarpone cheese and a mixed berry coulis
Pavlova

We used this amazing ladder feature table made by Custom Carpentry to hold all our goodies. These tables can be custom made to your specifications. See Custom Carpentry's blog here.

Little fruit bowls for guests to snack on.

We made these flamingo straw flags for the barber striped straws.

Coconuts and a pineapple added just the right touch to the tropical theme.

We added bright pink and white flowers to this hessian bunting. We loooved the result.

The favour bag, complete with a custom designed tag...

 ...and a glittery gold peg!

Two of the happy chappies enjoying the afternoon!

And here's a pic of me working hard in the kitchen.
